The Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals recently issued two important opinions denying two land use applications that would have opened the door to new development in and around the Widgi Creek Golf Course. Links to LUBA’s Opinions are found below.

LUBA upheld key decisions by the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners and found the County’s decisions to be supported by the evidence that the Widgi Creek development was limited to a certain number of residential units and that the County’s comprehensive plan protected open space and recreational areas within the development. The three homeowners associations that were successful in the appeals were represented by Michael H. McGean and Francis Hansen & Martin LLP.
